Puppy visits and short walks
New puppy and back at work. That first few months is the hard bit. I come in during the day so they're not on their own for hours.
What a puppy visit looks like
I let them out for a toilet break first, because that's usually the urgent bit. Then a bit of play, some calm time and fresh water.
If they're old enough and your vet's happy, we do a short walk. Short really does mean short at that age. Growing joints don't want an hour.
I keep to your routine and your words, so nothing you've taught them gets undone while you're out.
Then a photo and a message, same as every other dog I walk.

Puppy questions
How old does a puppy need to be
For a visit, any age once they're settled at home. For a proper walk outside, after their second jab and once your vet is happy. Before that we stick to the house and garden.
How long should a puppy walk be
Short. A rough guide a lot of vets use is five minutes per month of age, twice a day. A half hour visit is usually more play, toilet break and company than walking.
Will my puppy go out with other dogs
Not at first. Puppies start on their own with me so they're not overwhelmed. Once they're confident and your vet is happy, they can join a small group if it suits them.
Can you help with toilet training
I can keep it consistent. If you tell me the routine and the words you use, I'll do exactly the same. That's most of what makes it work.
What do you actually do on a puppy visit
Let them out, a bit of play, some calm time, fresh water, and a short walk if they're ready for one. Then a photo and a message so you know how it went.
How many visits a day do puppies need
Depends on age and how long you're out. Message me with your hours and I'll tell you honestly what I think, even if that's fewer visits than you were expecting.
